Love for Ethiopia Statement of Faith
Our faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of Love for Ethiopia. It shapes our purpose, guides our service, and inspires us to share His love through both words and actions.
1. God
We believe in one eternal God, revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19.
2. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. Born of a virgin, He lived without sin and willingly died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return in glory.
Scripture: John 1:1–14; Hebrews 9:24–28.
3. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit brings us to new life in Christ, lives within believers, and enables us to grow in holiness, understand Scripture, and serve God and others.

4. The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, trustworthy Word and our final authority for what we believe and how we live.

5. The Church
We believe all who belong to Jesus Christ are united as His body, the Church. We are called to worship, pray, grow as disciples, and share the gospel together.

6. Humanity and Salvation
We believe every person is made in God’s image and has inherent dignity and worth. All people have sinned and need reconciliation with God. Salvation is His gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, never earned through good works.

7. Our Eternal Hope
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and God’s final judgment, with everlasting life for those who belong to Christ and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him.

8. Faith Expressed in Love
We believe following Jesus means loving God and our neighbors. We seek to make His love known through sharing the gospel, nurturing faith, and caring for people facing poverty, imprisonment, and hardship.

We seek unity around these foundational beliefs and approach differences among fellow Christians with humility, respect, and love.
